modblog sucks
That's it... I'll maybe will continue my blog journey using this blog. Finally eh... My modblog always down with all sorts of maintainence problems. Sheeshh.... It was frustrating coz now i need to figure a nice layout for this blog.
Anyway, I'm still trying other blogs services just to know if there were more decent than this. Till then arrivederci...

For a free blog, this is probably the best you'll find. If you're willing to pay for online real estate, check out TypePad (http://www.typepad.com).
I'm paying for the "pro" package to get teh most features but there are cheaper ones available.
One of teh best features TypPad offers is a separate "status" page so you know in advance of any scheduled downtime and can get an explanation for any "sudden" outage that may occur.
I think it's worth the money.
As for Blogger Templates Google "blogger forum" and browse the appropriate threads, There are several decent template designers out there.
I don't presently recall the name of it but one of the sweetest blogger templates I've found can be viewed on my Blogger "test" blog at: http://syntheticworld.blogspot.com/

Regarding your point about ModBLog sucking, you're absolutely right. I've never seen a site with such piss-poor management and support.
Well, the "+flunkies" support Gorman's alleged genius and commitment but with no legitimate, logical, reason. I think they're all a bunch of D&D geeks bored with orcs and kobolds and trying to be revered by novice bloggers.
ModBlog sucks, Gorman's got zero social skills, and this "iMike" doofus (who is listed as an administrator of the highest rank but whose ModBlog says not to dare trouble him with ModBlog issues) is can kiss my puckered ass.
Modblog is dead and will NEVER be whatever it was envisioned to be.
